Mount Erie is a village in Wayne County, Illinois, United States.

According to the 2010 census, Mount Erie has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.04 km2), all land.

29.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 12.5% of families and 19.2% of the population living below the poverty line, including 44.4% of under eighteens and 20.8% of those over 64.
