Mount George, South Australia

Mount George is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-east of the state capital of Adelaide.

[3] It was established in 1999 with its name being derived from the Mount George Conservation Park.

[2] The Mount George Conservation Park has a stretch of the Heysen Trail passing through it.

[7] The principal land use in the locality is “rural living” which is a mix of farming and residential development.

[2][8] Mount George is located within the federal division of Mayo, the state electoral district of Kavel and the local government area of the Adelaide Hills Council.
