Mountainair is a town in Torrance County, New Mexico, United States.
It was founded in 1902 by John Corbett, Colonel E. C. Manning, and Elias S. Stover.
The main visitor center for Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is located within the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.7 km2), all land.
