Muhsin Al-Mandalawi

Mohsen Ali Akbar Namdar Nazar Al-Mandalawi (born 26 July 1968[1]) is a businessman, billionaire, politician and a deputy in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, in the October 10, 2021, election session, and his votes numbered 5,385 votes in the fifth district of Baghdad Governorate, and was chosen as the first deputy speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives on September 29, 2022.

[2][3][4][5][6] He is the head of the Iraqi Al-Asas Alliance Chairman of the board of directors of the International Hospital for Specialized Surgery, and chairman of the board of directors of Al-Farahidi University.

Al-Mandalawi is a billionaire and allegedly controls a large number of commercial enterprises in Iraq, with a gross value of several billion dollars.

On July 28, 2022, the nomination of Al-Mandalawi was announced to the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives in agreement with the forces of the coordination framework.

He was acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives from 15 November 2023 to 30 October 2024.
