Mujibur Rahman (general)

Mujibur Rahman (Bengali: মজিবুর রহমান) is a former Bangladeshi military officer who was the longest serving director general of the Special Security Force.

His father, AKM Bazlur Rahman was a valiant freedom fighter, devoted language movement activist, close companion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and recipient of Independence Award.

[8] Rahman was commissioned in the 18th long course of the Bangladesh Military Academy in the Infantry corps on 24 June 1988.

[8] Rahman has served under the blue helmet as contingent member in United Nations Mission in Somalia and Congo.

As Head of Operations, he led a team of 150 RAB officers, receiving air support from a helicopter, in an offensive against an Sundarban criminal gang, resulting in 5 dead.
