She was arrested on 27 July 2005 and in early August was charged under Section 38 of the Terrorism Act 2000 with "having information that they knew or believed might be of material assistance in securing the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of another person in the UK for an offence involving the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism, failed to disclose that information as soon as reasonably practicable to a constable"[6]In June 2008 she was found guilty of assisting an offender and failing to disclose information on the 21 July plot.
