She got had a major breakthrough instantly when she started her career with the film Dulhan Ek Raat Ki released in 1975.

Musarrat first worked in a Punjabi film called Aaj Ki Baat, however she didn’t receive any recognition.

She next appeared in the film Dulhan Ek Raat Ki as a supporting actress with an important role of a bar dancer.

Despite Musarrat’s role not being the leading character, she received a lot of critical acclaim and attention for her acting especially her dancing skills.

Her famous films include Haseena Atom Bomb, Aawara and Dhamki.
