N. Sakthan (born 5 May 1951) is an Indian politician who was Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2015 to 2016.

He was also the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kattakada, Thiruvananthapuram, from 2011 to 2016.

He has completed Master of Arts (M.A) and Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) degree.

Sakthan was elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly as an Independent candidate in 1982 (Kovalam).

Later he represented the Indian National Congress party and was re-elected to the assembly in 2001 and 2006 (Nemom) and in 2011 (Kattakada).
