NGC 3841 is an elliptical or lenticular galaxy[2] located about 300 million light-years away[3] in the constellation Leo.
[4] It was discovered by astronomer John Herschel on March 25, 1827[5] is a member of the Leo Cluster.
[5][6][7] On November 17, 2006 a type Ia supernova designated as SN 2006oq[8][9] was found near NGC 3841.
However it was not associated with the galaxy.
