Nawab Sirajuddaula Road (previous name: High Street) is the main and busiest road of Kushtia city.

Economic and business activities of Kushtia mainly depend on this road.

These are (east to west)-[citation needed] At one time this road was called High Street.

The road was renamed Nawab Shaheed Sirajddaula Road to preserve the memory of the last independent Nawab of Bengal-Bihar-Orissa .

Later Nawab Sirajuddaula Road was renamed after removing the word Shaheed .
