Part of the multi-sports Namdhari Sports Academy, it competes in the Punjab State Super League.

[2][3] Namdhari FC bid and joined the I-League,[4] current second division of the Indian football league system.

[7][8] In their I-League debut season, the club was managed by Spanish tactician Francesc Bonet.
