Namudag Raj was an Indian principality that controlled parts of South Bihar for much of the medieval period.
It is known for the Garh royal family of the Surwar rajput (gaur dynasty).
In the 16th century a group of Gaur Rajwansh (Surwar clan) came from the Sarwar (in Rajasthan) princely state (presently this Gaur royal family is sitting on the Sarwar throne) and are from Surpur.
[2][3] Raja Bahadur Babu Pooran Singh Ji and Raja Bahadur Babu Haem Pratap Singh were prominent rulers.
The Namudag royal family donated 1.01 lakh acres to the Bhoodan initiative.
