[2] Nancy A. Leatherwood was interested in historical, literary and civic activities, and history, art, philosophy, economics.
[1][2] She taught at Sunday-school and helped to secure a loan fund to assist girls through college.
[1][2] In 1894 in Kingman, Kansas, Nancy Albaugh married Elmer O. Leatherwood (1872-1929), U.S. Representative from Utah, and they had one daughter, Margaret Jane Bourgerie (1912-2003).
[1][2] The house was built for them in 1911 and is currently included in the University Neighborhood Historic District (Salt Lake City, Utah), a National Register of Historic Places listings in Salt Lake County, Utah.
[2] Leatherwood died in September 1961 and is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery (Salt Lake City).
