When the Mughal subahdar of Bengal Man Singh I went to attack Bikrampur, his allies had been defeated by Kedar Ray and took refuge in a place called Srinagar in present-day Naria.
Mansingh sent an army to rescue the allies and a fierce battle took place leading to the wounding of Kedar Ray and his eventual death.
