[1][2] In February 2021, he was found guilty of insurrection during protests that led to the 2014 coup d'état.

[6][7] He graduated high school from The Williston Northampton School in the US and then Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Boston University and master's degree in marketing (English Program), Thammasat University.

He also holds the position of General Manager of Royal Thai Company Limited in the Dubai Branch and overseeing the expansion of "Royal Thai" branded carpet in the Middle East.

Later, he resigned from the party on 11 November 2014 to lead the rally against the amnesty law in 2013–2014 Thai political crisis.

[12] On 24 February 2021, the Criminal Court sentenced Nataphol to imprisonment for seven years and four months, resulting in him immediately terminated his position as Minister of Education.
