Nathaniel M. Minkoff (February 14, 1893 – January 16, 1984) was an American labor leader and politician who served as a member of the New York State Assembly in 1938.
[citation needed] He was Secretary and Treasurer of Local 9 of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union from 1913 to 1919; and Director of the Records and Statistical Department of ILGWU from 1920 to 1925.
Afterwards he was Secretary and Treasurer of the Joint Board of the Dress and Waistmakers Union of Greater New York, affiliated with ILGWU and the American Federation of Labor.
[3] Minkoff was a member of the Socialist Party of America in the early 1930s, speaking at street meetings[4] and working on Samuel Orr's 1933 State Senate campaign.
[5] Minkoff joined the American Labor Party after its formation in 1936 and was elected to New York State Assembly in 1937 on a joint ALP-Socialist ticket.
