National Publishing Company

[1] In 1878 the business had a five-storey building constructed for its headquarters at 726 Cherry Street in Philadelphia.

It expanded with offices opening up in Chicago, St. Louis and Australia.

[3] In 1899, John Engwall was appointed President by the board of the National Publishing Company.

[4] He was the brother of Victor Theodor Engwall and assisted the company with funding during the late 19th century.
