New flamenco

New flamenco (or nuevo flamenco) or flamenco fusion is a musical genre that was born in Spain, starting in the 1980s.

It combines flamenco guitar virtuosity and traditional flamenco music with musical fusion[1] (with genres like jazz, blues, rock, rumba, and years later reggaeton, hip hop, or electronic music).

Las Migas, an all-women quartet from Barcelona, is one of the notable groups.

Their 2022 album Libres was distinguished as "Best Flamenco Music Album" at the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
