New Hope, Cherokee County, Texas

New Hope is an unincorporated community in Cherokee County, located in the U.S. state of Texas.

New Hope Baptist Church was founded during the Civil War and was the focus of the community.

Linkenhoker built a store near the church sometime after World War I ended and which remained operational in the 1920s.

The church and several scattered houses remained in New Hope in the early 1990s and the community had a population of 50 in 2000.
