The racial makeup of the township was 97.11% White, 0.40% African American, 0.24% Native American, 1.04% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.36% from other races, and 0.72% from two or more races.

There were 1,017 households, out of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.5% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families.

22.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
