Nicolaia Anna Rips (born August 19, 1998) is an American journalist and memoirist.
[1] Rips was born in New York City, the daughter of Michael Rips (a writer and lawyer) and Sheila Berger (an artist and former model).
She attended Laguardia High School for Music and then Brown University.
Her articles and essays[4] have appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Interview Magazine and The Paris Review.
She is the author of Trying to Float, a memoir about her childhood in New York's Chelsea Hotel.
