Niebylec [ɲɛˈbɨlɛt͡s] is a village in Strzyżów County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.
In the 15th and 16th centuries, the village, known at that time as Jawornik, belonged to the noble Machowski family (Abdank coat of arms).
Jawornik received Magdeburg rights in 1509, due to efforts of Mikolaj Machowski of Machow.
The town was part of Lesser Poland's Sandomierz Voivodeship, remaining a small location in the eastern outskirts of the province, close to the border with Red Ruthenia.
Niebylec was one of the centers of the Bar Confederation, and in 1772 (see Partitions of Poland), it was annexed by the Habsburg Empire, as part of Galicia.
