Nik Nazmi bin Nik Ahmad (Jawi: نئ نظمي بن نئ أحمد‎; born 12 January 1982) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Setiawangsa since May 2018.

[4] After serving as an assistant to Anwar Ibrahim, he was nominated by Parti Keadilan Rakyat to contest the Seri Setia state seat in Selangor in the 2008 Malaysian general election.

Nik Nazmi is the first person to be charged under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 for failing to give police a 10 days notice before holding the post-election Kelana Jaya Blackout 505 rally.

Nazmi was appointed as the State Executive Councillor in charge of Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation in 2014.

Soon after the formation of the unity government, Nik Nazmi was subsequently appointed as the new Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change.

He added, "The ministry is also implementing a few other actions, including the maintenance of the drainage system through the Integrated Flood Management Approach and the development of necessary infrastructure.

In August 2023 in his capacity as Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Nik Nazmi announced the cancellation of the Tioman Island airport project.

In October 2023, Nik Nazmi by way of a written reply to parliamentary questions clarified the details of the latest approved Power Development Plan (PDP).

He further added that the changes made to NRECC, by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the Cabinet reshuffle, align with the global and domestic situation's strategic needs and demands.

It is supposed to promote an alternative learning activity for underprivileged children living in the low-cost housing area of Desa Mentari, Petaling Jaya.
