Nikki Keddie

Nikki Reichard Keddie[1] (née Anita Ragozin, August 30, 1930)[2] is an American scholar of Eastern, Iranian, and women's history.

She is Professor Emerita of History at University of California, Los Angeles.

[3] Keddie was born in Brooklyn, New York.

from Stanford University and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

She has taught at University of Arizona and Scripps College in Claremont, California, before joining University of California, where she taught mainly Middle Eastern and Iranian history and eventually became full professor.
