Nikopol Raion

[2] On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was reduced to seven, and the area of Nikopol Raion was significantly expanded.

[3][4] The area of the raion before expansion was 1,940 square kilometres (750 sq mi) (second largest among all the raions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast).

The January 2020 estimate of the raion population was 38,879 (2020 est.).

[5] The southern border of the raion is by the Kakhovka Reservoir by the Dnieper River.
