Nizamettin Çalışkan (born 20 March 1987)[1] is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for TFF Second League club 1461 Trabzon FK.

[2][3] A youth prospect of Borussia Dortmund, Çalışkan arrived at the academy in 1999 from Sportfreunde Geweke.

[5] On the last matchday of the season, Çalışkan was in the starting line-up for the first time in the game against Bayern Munich.

In the summer of 2008, he suffered relegation to the second-tier TFF First League with Manisaspor, but immediately returned to the Süper Lig the following season.

After his club suffered another relegation at the end of the 2011–12 season[8] Çalışkan took advantage of the fact that his contract with Manisaspor was running out and moved to Orduspor within the league.
