Nowabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان نوآباد) is in Arvandkenar District of Abadan County, Khuzestan province, Iran.

[3] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Alam (علم).

[4] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 174 in 39 households.

[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 129 in 40 households.

The most populous of its 18 villages was Nahr-e Hajji Mohammad, with 56 people.
