Norman M. Allen

Norman Milton Allen (December 24, 1828 – November 15, 1909) was an American politician from New York.

In 1848, he married Huldah Merrill (died 1913), and they had several children.

He entered politics as a Democrat, and joined the Republican Party upon its foundation in 1855.

In 1872, he joined the Liberal Republican Party and supported Horace Greeley for president.

[citation needed] He was again a member of the State Senate in 1882 and 1883.
