Norman Martin

Sir Norman Angus Martin (24 April 1893 – 8 October 1979) was an Australian politician.

He was born in Port Melbourne to grazier Angus Martin and Ruth Gale.

On 29 January 1919 he married nurse Gladys (Anne) Barrett, with whom he had two children.

In 1934 he won a by-election for the Victorian Legislative Assembly seat of Gunbower; although he defeated the endorsed Country Party candidate, he was admitted to the parliamentary Country Party when parliament next sat.

He moved to Melbourne and became a businessman, holding the chairmanship of several company boards.
