Clayton is a town in Crawford County, Wisconsin, United States.

The unincorporated communities of Montgomeryville, North Clayton, and Yankeetown[3] are located in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 69.2 square miles (179.3 km2), all of it land.

There were 524 housing units at an average density of 7.6 per square mile (2.9/km2).

20.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
