[1] In 2015, its name was changed from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) (Irish: Bord Turasóireachta Thuaisceart Éireann;[2] Ulster-Scots: Norlin Airlann Reengin Boord)[3] to Tourism Northern Ireland as part of the wider review of the public body.

[4] The Chairman and Board Members are appointed for a three-year term by the Minister for the Economy; they ensure the body fulfils the objectives set by the department and its public remit.
