[citation needed] At the 2000 United States census there were 306 people, 146 households, and 89 families living in the unorganized territory.

There were 792 housing units at an average density of 1.3 per square mile (0.50/km2).

The racial makeup of the unorganized territory was 95.75% White, 2.61% Native American, 0.65% Asian, and 0.98% from two or more races.

[1] Of the 146 households, 21.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% were married couples living together, 2.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.4% were non-families.

About 5.2% of families and 6.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of 18 and 17.5% of those 65 or over.
