Balbi joined Travis New on guitar, alongside original Mi-Sex members Don Martin, Murray Burns, Paul Dunningham and Colin Bayley.

[3] In 2011, the band reunited for a fundraiser following the 2011 Christchurch earthquake with original members Don Martin, Murray Burns, Paul Dunningham and Colin Bayley joining with singer Steve Balbi and guitarist Travis New.

Ill health forced Burns' usual Mi-Sex songwriting collaborator Kevin Stanton out of the band.

Burns turned to Colin Bailey who had joined the line-up when Stanton had earlier taken a break in 1982.

The pair were joined in their writing endeavours by one Mi-Sex's most recent acquisitions, Steve Balbi.
