The club competes in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the ABA League Second Division.

[1][2] The club was founded in 2005 as OKK Spars and competed in lower-ranking divisions until joining 2nd-tier A1 League in the 2011–12 season.

In the 2014–15 edition, Spars were invited to play in Madrid for the tournament's final stage.
