Oakhurst is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in San Jacinto County, Texas, United States.

The racial makeup of the city was 84.78% White, 14.78% African American, and 0.43% from two or more races.

About 5.0% of families and 17.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 26.8% of those under the age of eighteen and 30.8% of those 65 or over.

Oakhurst is served by the Coldspring-Oakhurst Consolidated Independent School District.
