Odontophrynus carvalhoi

Odontophrynus carvalhoi (common nane: Carvalho's escuerzo) is a species of frog in the family Odontophrynidae.

It is endemic to eastern Brazil and found east of the Espinhaço Mountains between northern Minas Gerais and Paraíba at altitudes higher than 500 m (1,600 ft) above sea level.

There is a blackish to greyish green Y-shaped mark that runs from each upper eyelid to near the sacral region.

[3] The male advertisement call is composed of a single, multi-pulsed note.

Breeding is explosive, and the tadpoles develop in small intermittent streams and temporary ponds.
