Omar Bin Sulaiman

[1] He was the representative for DIFC for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

He was previously Director General of Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA),[2] where he led the development of DIFC, which aims to be a universally recognized as a hub for institutional finance and a gateway for capital and investment in the region.

He led the development of DIC into a major ICT cluster that houses several global giants such as Microsoft, Oracle IBM, SAP, Cisco, Sony Ericsson, Sun Microsystems and Siemens.

At the same time he also led the development of several other entities under the banner of the Dubai Technology and Media (TECOM) Free Zone Authority, the Government body responsible for the development of knowledge clusters like ICT, media, education, energy etc.

[9] However, Dubai’s Attorney General, Essam Al Humaidan, refuted the claims and issued a statement that investigations on Bin Sulaiman's case are still ongoing, and will continue.
