It was preceded by the release of Dion's first comprehensive French-language greatest hits album, also titled On ne change pas.

The DVD includes 17 music videos from the period of 19 years: 1986 ("Fais ce que tu voudras"), 1987 ("Incognito" and "Lolita (trop jeune pour aimer)"), 1991 ("Des mots qui sonnent"), 1992 ("Je danse dans ma tête"), 1993 ("Ziggy"), 1994 ("L'amour existe encore"), 1995 ("Pour que tu m'aimes encore" and "Je sais pas"), 1998 ("Zora sourit" and "S'il suffisait d'aimer"), 1999 ("On ne change pas"), 2001 ("Sous le vent"), 2003 ("Tout l'or des hommes" and "Et je t'aime encore"), 2004 ("Contre nature") and 2005 ("Je ne vous oublie pas").
