Operation Sedrenik '94

"Peaceful" is a relative term, as occasional sniper and infantry attacks continued to terrorize the civilian population.

But the terrifying artillery and mortar fire, which caused most of the casualties and destroyed parts of the city, has essentially stopped.

One significant break in the peace occurred in September, when the ARBiH launched a very small offensive to capture part of Sedrenik, in the northeastern part of the city north of Sarajevo's old town.

[citation needed][2] ARBiH forces from the Muslim settlement of Grdonj launched a surprise attack on Serb-controlled Sedrenik on September 18.

But on September 20, UN observers reported that the VRS had recaptured the positions lost from the previous days.
