He designed Anıtkabir, the mausoleum complex of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with Emin Onat.

He worked as a professor at the chair of environmental analysis and industrialized building design at ITU Faculty of Architecture.
Professor Orhan Arda, a member of the Chamber of Architects numbered 828, died on July 4, 2003.
