Oswald Kohts

Wilhelm Ernst Oswald Kohts (31 January 1844 in Berent, Province of Prussia – 1912) was a German physician and pediatrician.

From 1870 he served as an assistant to Ernst Viktor von Leyden at Königsberg, and in 1872 began work as a secondary physician at the polyclinic in Strassburg.

[1] Among his students and assistants at Strassburg were dermatologist Eduard Arning (1855-1936) [2] and pediatrician Ferdinand Siegert (1865-1946).

[3] In 1886, he became a member of the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina.

[4] Kohts was the author of several monographs that were included in Carl Gerhardt's Handbuch der Kinderkrankheiten.
