[4] In 2016 and 2017, before the group format was introduced to the Challenge Cup, Oulton reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
[7] In April 2022, Oulton defeated Wakefield Trinity 14–12 in their final group match to progress to the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.
[8] In October 2022, Oulton defeated the Salford Red Devils 33–14 in the Championship Grand Final,[9] but declined promotion to the 2023 Super League.
[10] In 2023, Oulton reached the Championship Grand Final again, but lost 30–16 to Hull Kingston Rovers.
[12] They finished the season in fourth place to qualify for the play-offs, but forfeited their semi-final match due to players having other commitments, including several of them being in France as part of England Rugby League’s Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme.
