Palmetto is a village in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, United States.

The racial makeup of the village was 40.43% White, 58.51% African American, and 1.06% from two or more races.

Brit Bennett's second novel The Vanishing Half is based on her mother's memories of growing up in Palmetto.
