She attended the University of Illinois Chicago and then studied with the book conservator Gary Frost.
[3] Spitzmueller also creates artists' books.
Her work has been included in many exhibitions,[4][5][6] including a solo exhibition in 2013 at the Center for Book Arts entitled "Pamela Spitzmueller: Fold=Trans=Form".
[7] Her work is in the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA)[8] and the Yale University Art Gallery.
