The NF Railway granted permission to use the vacated Netaji Vidyapeeth premises and a 99-year lease for 3.95 acres of land to establish the college.

On September 5, 1962, Pandu College was inaugurated, with Sri Radhika Ram Das, Minister of State for Revenue, as the chief guest.

The library holds a diverse collection of more than 47,500 printed books, including textbooks and reference materials across Arts, Science, and Commerce disciplines.
