Papamoa FC

The club were formed in 1995,[2] by Alan Bright and Iain Cargill.

[3] The crest features the sun, sea and the sand, representing the clubs philosophies.

[2] In 2018 they were knocked out by Birkenhead United losing 5–1, and in 2022 they lost 3–0 to Hamilton Wanderers.

Papamoa signed an agreement in 2023 with Tauranga City to form a shared-entity FC Tauranga Moana.

[5] Initially only having youth teams, Otumoetai joined Papamoa and Tauranga City to form a women's team in 2024 to take part in the NRFL Women's Championship.
