Paras District is one of six districts of the province Cangallo in Peru.
[1] One of the highest mountains of the district is Chiqllarasu at 5,167 m (16,952 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (85.65%) learnt to speak in childhood, 14.16% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
