It borders the suburb of Greenside and overlooks Zoo Lake, a park which lies on the opposite side of Jan Smuts Avenue from the Johannesburg Zoo.
Parkview is one of the oldest suburbs in Johannesburg, and much of its historic architecture remains intact.
