Parmar, also known as Panwar [1] is a Rajput clan[2] found in Northern and Central India, especially in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra (in Vidarbha region).
The Panwar ruled in Ujjain[3][4] and later in Dhar.
