[1] Pasadena came into existence in 1943, replacing the spot in the SCHL that had previously been occupied by the Bakersfield Army Flyers.
Due to the persistence of World War II, the team could only schedule 18 games during the season and the roster was outfitted by players who sitting out the war for various reasons.
The Panthers managed to win just one of their games but the lack of success did not immediately doom the team.
[2] Led by player/coach Charlie Sands, the team performed better than they had the previous season but still ended up last in the league.
A team with an identical name later came into existence but had no formal connection with this franchise.
